π TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 127
Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children[a] of one's youth.
5 Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

| 0:22.2 | and fussing, and just take a deep breath and try to calm |
| 0:26.3 | my mind. |
| 0:27.3 | And this is not some new agey thing I'm trying to guide you in, I'm just trying to give you |

| 0:35.9 | thoughts and feelings and other things that are trying to crowd in on us any given |
| 0:41.0 | day and set our minds where they need to be because God is spirit. Those |
| 0:48.1 | who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth, Jesus said. And so for us, spiritual beings trapped in physical body, so to speak, |
| 0:57.2 | we've got to do some physical things at times to realign with the spiritual part of ourselves. |
| 1:05.0 | And sometimes that's pausing. |
| 1:07.0 | Sometimes it's taking a deep breath. |
| 1:09.0 | Sometimes that's realizing how crowded and jumbled and noisy our own minds are and to clear out all that noise and to |
| 1:19.2 | stop and focus and the scripture is one of the things that helps us to focus because it teaches us |
| 1:25.9 | truths of God lays them out for us in black and white print on paper |
| 1:30.9 | so that we can focus on what it is saying, the truths that it has for us. |
| 1:36.0 | Let's do that together. Let's look at Psalm 127. |
| 1:40.0 | And we're going to look at verse number two. It says, it is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, |
| 1:48.0 | eating the bread of anxious toil, for he gives to his beloved sleep. |
| 1:54.4 | Now that he is God, obviously. |
| 1:56.3 | So let's kind of analyze this. |
