Hi-Fi Color for Comics Challenge series,

found in the Pixel Shrine section at

The challenges are a way for aspiring colorists to learn skills from a working professional

and fellow peers.

Black and white images are posted in the challenge threads, and aspiring color artists

add their contributions to the piece.

The pieces are then critiqued and voted on by peers in an effort to educate and increase

coloring talents.

Some artists that have contributed work so far are Freddie Williams II, David Nakayama, Terry

Moore, Katie Cook, June Bob Kim, Kevin Mellon, Chad Sikoni, and more. Previous winners of the

challenge have had their work printed on 10,000 promo cards that were handed out at the

impact booth at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
