0:07.8

just waking up, good morning. If you're at work, eating lunch, commuting, whatever you're

0:14.0

doing. Good afternoon. Good evening. Hello. Thank you for joining. Let the be talk for episode

0:20.8

number 503. My guest today is a fantastic human, Michael Maglieri. His family is three generations

0:32.8

of pure rock and roll, owners of the whiskey and the rainbow bar and grill. I cannot even tell you

0:42.0

how cool it was to do this episode. I sat down with Michael at the rainbow and we celebrated all

0:51.8

things rock and roll. Mostly we talked about the brand new documentary on the rainbow. It is out

1:00.9

right now. It's called the rainbow and it's on all the platforms. What is that? What do they call that?

1:09.3

to sit down with Michael. I've been trying to podcast with him for a couple years and the timing

1:31.2

was just off. And then lo and behold, it happens to work out perfectly when the documentary is out.

1:38.7

So things happen for a reason. And I want to thank Michael and his family for the years and years

1:47.7

of just incredible rock and roll, food and vibe on that damn sunset boulevard. These guys in my mind

2:08.2

All still standing. The whiskey is in the rock and roll hall of fame. And they have recently

2:14.9

made the rainbow and the whiskey historic landmarks. That is so monumental in what's going on in

2:24.9

this real estate climate of Los Angeles where they're just tearing shit down. We got, we got,

2:34.1

look what we got. We got the comedy store, which is just pure rock and roll. We have the whiskey,

2:40.6

the rocksy, the rainbow and the troubadour. They're still there. The viper room is hanging in by

2:48.1

the skin of its teeth. Tower records sitting there empty could easily be something cool like a

2:56.9

Miba moving in there. But we'll see where that goes. That's how life is as you get older,
