0:19.3	Like many of you, I can't remember exactly
0:21.3	what episode it was, but like many of you, it was close to a decade ago. And once you start
0:27.3	listening to Player One podcast, you really don't stop. I mean, sure, you might miss an episode
0:31.8	here or there, but you always come back just like the Player One podcast does. Like many of you, I've listened to dozens, if not hundreds,
0:40.5	a video game podcast over the years.
0:42.7	Many of them have long disappeared, and others have lost relevance or appeal over time.
0:47.3	Yet the Player One podcast not only survives, it thrives.

0:52.3	Well, it's easy, right?
0:57.4	These guys are our friends. If you're like me,
1:01.8	you've spent more time with CJ, Phil, and Greg than many of the other people in your life,
1:06.9	not to mention the rotating cast of four chairs that change as often as the keyboardist in whatever bastardized version of Journey that's playing the summer festival circuit this year.
1:11.7	You know, when CJ talks about Nintendo, when Greg discusses racing or Phil waxes on about
1:16.7	Gianna Sisters, you smile. You smile not because you've heard it before. You smile not because you
1:22.2	necessarily care about Nintendo, racing games, or Gianna Sisters. You smile not because you agree or disagree, you smile
1:29.2	because it's all real. Unlike so many people in the video game media that play ridiculous
1:35.8	characters in order to get clicks or downloads or are so overwhelmingly cynical and negative
1:40.9	about video games, yes, remember we're talking about video games.
1:49.1	Phil, C.J. and Greg remind you that the vast majority of people in the world that enjoy this medium are just regular people with jobs, families, and all the normal pressures of life.
1:54.2	People that enjoy games as a way to relax and unwind or to connect to a different time when
1:59.6	life was not quite so complex.
