this idea around God testing us. That's tough for me because I do believe there are, quote, tests.

I think that's how we perceive them.

But I think it's really easy to take these tests almost as like a pass-fail type situation or like we're being punished

or we need to prove ourselves in order to have what it is that we want.

And while there is a level of proving, I don't think it's in the way that a lot of people

will project on to God. I feel like sometimes when I hear people talking about this,

it almost sounds like God's, you know, this patriarchal figure, this father figure up in the sky that's like, you know,

do, are you worthy of this thing that you want? Prove it. Let me, let me throw this test.
