And I think that my perspective and my experience of death is not the norm.

And I always like to challenge people to receive a different narrative than the one that they've been used to using. So if you've never heard my voice before today and you don't know my story or you're just wondering, you know, why to tie, you know, shift gears to focus more on wellness let me give you a little insight my my life

dramatically changed in 2012 when my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. From there

her health declined rapidly and when I say rapidly I mean she was diagnosed in July of 2012, and we buried my mother in April of 2013.

And for me, it really does feel like she was here one minute and then dead the next in less than a year

maybe eight months my mother was snatched from our lives but I have to credit my mother as

the person who encouraged me to explore my own mental wellness.

And she really opened my eyes to what death really is and what death really means.

And just how absolutely beautiful that time can be for the person dying, for you and your family,

especially if death is greeted with patience and support and understanding and faith and love.

Now I do have a small disclaimer because looking back I understand that how I got to experience my mother's death isn't exactly how everyone
