You're just here to pause and let your nervous system know it's safe to settle.

Let's begin with breath.

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

Again, breathe in.

Feel your body gently rise.

Breathe out and let your shoulders fall.

One more time, inhale slowly.

Now bring your attention to where your body is touching something solid.

Your feet on the floor, your back against the chair, your hands resting in your lap.

Let your breath return to a natural rhythm. You're not trying to change it, just noticing it. Now repeat these words silently or out loud and let them land.
