Emily Abadi here. You are listening to Five Minute Friday from Hurtle. This week I want to talk about balance. I have really been mulling over the concept of balance lately. And I'll tell you why. Recently, my days have been quite back to back.

As I mentioned last week, I was out of the office. And so now being back in my usual groove,

0:51.0

I am catching up on meetings that I put off for a bit. I am finding the time to do other

things that I had previously put on the back burner. And so from one thing to the next,

Me finding the time, making the time to have dinner with a friend

2:21.9

on Wednesday night a little later than I would have liked, but I knew spending time with this

2:29.4

person would fill my cup up. Balance for me is dispersing the responsibilities. It's asking myself,

2:38.1

what's good for Emily? And I tell you this story. I tell you about my relationship right now with

2:44.6

balance because I think that every so often we get in this groove where we pour too much into one cup. I've certainly been there.
