Summary
I walked two miles to-and-from a non-existent doctor’s appointment yesterday morning. OK, it existed. It did! At least, it did in my Oscar Health app. In today's 5-MINUTE FRIDAY, I'm talking about how I stayed calm and positive despite going two hours out of my way. In fact, I was happy I did.

| 0:00.0 | Hey, Herdlers. Emily Abadi here, bringing you another episode of Five Minute Friday, which is actually never really only five minutes, but you get the gist from hurdle. |
| 0:33.3 | I'm having a really good day, despite things not going entirely as planned, I would say. |
| 0:41.4 | If you're new to this segment, let me just make sure you know how things go here. |
| 0:47.0 | I'm going to tell you this story. I'm going to offer you a thought prompt to take you into the weekend. |
| 0:52.0 | And then I'm going to share with you my highlights of the |
| 0:55.7 | week, some content picks, some things that I think you should check out that I am digging at the |
| 1:01.9 | moment. Okay, so the story, this morning, I had a OBGYN appointment, my annual, trying to check off all of my general exams at the beginning |
| 1:14.9 | of the year as safe as possible. I had my appointment scheduled for 11 a.m. My OB is about like |
| 1:24.3 | just under two miles north of my apartment in central Harlem. |
| 1:30.3 | And I was already kind of having a day at around 10 a.m. and decided that it could be a good |
| 1:39.4 | idea for me to walk there. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and listen to one of |
| 1:49.9 | Apple Fitness Plus the new Time to Walk episodes. So that is exactly what I plan to do. So I |
| 1:57.4 | laced up my sneakers. I got outside. It was definitely brisk at 30 degrees, I think. And I started |
| 2:06.3 | walking and I got out there. I'm on my way. I realized that I'm going to get there at like 10.55, even though |
| 2:14.3 | they say get their 15 minutes early in my head. I'm thinking, you know what? I always |
| 2:19.6 | get there 15 minutes early. I never go in until at least 15 minutes after the hour. Like, I'm just |
| 2:24.2 | going to get there five minutes before. It's going to be fine. I get to my destination. It's five |
| 2:28.3 | minutes before 11. And I try to ring the buzzer and no one answers. Luckily, at this point, |
| 2:33.6 | a man and his two sons, |
| 2:35.6 | they're walking out from the dentist's office that happened to be right there. So they push |
| 2:40.8 | open the gate. I go in. I go through a couple of doors to the place where the office has been |
| 2:46.8 | for years, where my appointment was confirmed for, and see that the door is locked. And in fact, |
