What's going on, everyone, Emily Boddy here. Good morning. You are listening to 5-minute

Friday or good afternoon or good evening, depending on when you're listening to this. I feel as

though overwhelm is loading. And I'll tell you why. I have many different trips in the next

seven days. Three to be specific.

I'm headed to Boston today.

I am there for the weekend through Monday.

I am back to New York for the night.

I have a event that night that I need to go to.

I fly to San Francisco from Tuesday to Thursday next week.

Then I'm back to New York. And finally, I'm down to D.C. next Friday night to do some personal stuff and also host a conversation on behalf of every woman's marathon.

I am in, so, four different cities over the next seven days.

And yeah, that can lead to overwhelm.

It can also lead to me being out of my normal routine.

And so I have a few things that become non-negotiable for me when overwhelm starts to seep in.

The first thing is that regardless of where I am, the morning routine sticks. Period, hard stop.

I wake up, I journal, I do breath work, I move my body, I take my supplements. It's like clockwork for me.

And it is integral to allow and empower me to show up as the best possible version of myself in that day.

Does that mean that it's not going to be perhaps a little inconvenient,

not to have all of my normal tools at my disposal to do these things? Of course. But we have to

be flexible knowing what the goal is.

The goal is for me to have some sort of normalcy, even when I'm not in my typical

environment, so that I can feel better in my body.
