She wants to help kids experiencing homelessness to not only get the stability and care they

need, she wants them to thrive.

And she's doing it through a nonprofit called Horizons for homeless children.

When you arrive at Horizons as a child, it is all about consistency, routine, stimulation,

and a wonderful caring relationship with a caregiver, which is your teacher.

Kate is the CEO and president of Horizons.

The Boston-based organization launched in 1988 and now provides early education programs

to over 200 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who live in city shelters.
