Oh yeah. Welcome back to the audible presented by Trader Joe's. I am Bruce Feldman joined as always by my colleague Stuart Mandel. Last week we got

together with a bunch of our other colleagues and a lot of the college football

world in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Stu, before we get into some of this stuff,

right after we had taped the last episode

and actually while we were in Scottsdale,

you were the one who in fact to inform me of this

because you had sent me a tweet from the

Sports Business Journal that the place you and I first met, ESPAN magazine is going to be no more.

They're going to cease publishing.

I don't know, I got a little sentimental about that did you?

Well I mean I would imagine you would have a lot more reason to get sentimental. I was there

for I believe eight weeks in the summer after I graduated from college.

But how many years were you in that building?

On and off for probably about 10 years.

And I didn't live in New York that whole stretch.

I moved out to LA shortly after I became a senior writer. So I was probably there for five years.

And also I would just say that long after I was gone, you were constantly telling me stories about the place and about what you guys were up to and I just remember thinking

that it was a very like the camaraderie in that office was really strong.

You guys were constantly doing, playing basketball games and just socializing.

Yeah, I think we also, you know, it's funny, I got to know the SI culture a little bit through

my buddy Jeff Chadea who was a writer there around the same time I was at the magazine and we became friends and I remember I went to some of his parties but I remember going to his going away party was at some bar like right you know like a block from the SI office and you know because I think
