2016 took a taxi back to her apartment after drinking at a hotel so her credit

card is declined and the taxi driver calls the police to help him collect his

fare well not long after calls the police to help him collect his fare. Well, not long after that,

the police show up a little bit later on and they go to her apartment and say, what about the

fair? We want to come in. And she says, no, not at all. So what do they do?

They arrest her.

Well, they throw her on the ground and handcuff her.

And I don't think she goes to jail.

I think they just did, you know, just this weird, wild thing.

And so she gets convicted.

And, yeah, they did arrest her.

And she was convicted.

And she went to the ninth, the U.S. Court of Appeals where the judge said,

who in the world arrests an individual for failing to pay a cab fare?

How did this happen?

And can a decline credit card for $16.75 result in a federal civil rights action?

Here we are.

Well, she ended up obviously suing for civil rights violation.
