hour number two jeffered show 933-3 real talk radio or chance TV good to be with you thanks for being with us made mention of it last hour let's reiterate here to start this hour which will create a a larger conversation because, Tom, you and I have not had the opportunity to talk about the news that came down regarding the Pact 12 yesterday, specifically with Washington State's administration, ceasing to operate athletically with their budget and plans moving forward for facilities,

raises, coaches, you name it, all of it.

It sounds like the Pact 12 is in the process of collapsing right before our eyes.

Really an amazing thing to watch, an amazing thing to be a part of, to be sitting here watching

college football shift to this degree. And of course, it's been the topic de jour for us here

over the last year. It's going to continue to be until there's a resolution that is satisfactory

financially for FSU, period. And it's also going to continue to be the conversation, annoyingly so, because conferences like the Big Ten and the SEC are dictating terms, and they're not going to stop anytime soon. It doesn't appear. And every time you think that they will, they don't. So now we see this, and the Big 12 is very active as well. Their commissioner, very aggressive. It is clear the Big 12 has decided they want to be

the third power conference, if you will, when the dust settles. The Big 12 is aggressively trying to

say to the SEC, excuse me, the ACC and the PAC 12, you guys are done. We're next. We're in.

We're going to still be here. We're going to take this team and that team and this team and we'll be the last one standing. No, we won't be the Big Ten. No, we won't be the SEC. But we're going to be better off than you and you. And that's what you're witnessing now. Well, and their strategy is a sound one. If you can have the titans of the now, then go get the markets that are only going to grow. Grab Orlando,

grab Houston, grab, yes, I got you. If you're going to take a swing, this is how you do it.

It makes a ton of sense. So the story today is that the ACC will launch a, quote, success initiative or incentive initiative, I should say, starting in 2024, 2025,

and that will distribute additional league payouts to schools based on teams' performances in

revenue-generating postseason play.

That according to reports today, you want to cite whomever you want.

All the people who cover this league have reported this, so I'm giving credit to all of the people that cover this league. There you go. I don't know who got it

right first, but it's been out for about an hour now. The ACC board of directors announcing today

that this is past. This is a thing. It's real. It's new. This isn't just something that was

speculated about anymore. It's something that now has happened.

Unequal revenue sharing, of course, has been the topic in this conference since earlier this year when our administration, our athletic department, Florida State specifically said, this ain't good.

And they made it known.

They weren't going to sit idly by.
