| 0:38.9 | And the lawsuit says that during the pandemic, the state has failed to provide a free and equal education to all students, violating the state constitution and discriminating against black, Latino, and other low-income families. |

| 1:01.1 | During the months of distance learning, we talked about so often how difficult it was for poor, on the poor lower socioeconomic scale for kids. And if we look at our society, it's black, |
| 1:08.1 | Latino minority students that are most represented in that demographic. |
| 1:13.0 | And so because the kids were lacking access to digital tools, badly needed academic and social emotional supports, |
| 1:22.7 | the Constitution has been discriminated against, which mandates fair and equal access to education |

| 1:30.5 | And the students have been harmed by the school's failure to meet those required minimum |
| 1:36.5 | instructional needs. |
| 1:39.0 | And it's filed against everybody, the state, Department of Education, state superintendent of instruction. |

| 1:49.7 | And this, she represents virtually everybody. |
| 1:52.7 | She has three elementary school kids in Oakland, Unified School District, one of the poorer districts, |
| 1:58.3 | and said that her twins in the second grade received live instruction from a teacher twice when the schools closed, since the schools closed mid-barge to the end of the school year. |
