I'm Rob Stats Guerrera. Today is Thursday, December 11th, 2025. Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

We'll get to Kyle Shanahan in a minute, but first, we actually have an injury report to get

to.

Four players did not participate in practice Wednesday.

Tatum Bethune Ankle, Kevin Givens personal, Nick Martin Concussion, and Sam Okuwanu Ankle.

Trent Williams and Christian McCaffrey are not injured, though they did rest.

Kyle Yuscheck was listed as a limited participant with his cracked rib.

As for Kyle Shanahan, nice to hear him hit the podium yesterday after a week off.

Kyle, now that you've had the buy, did you reflect a little bit about being nine and four

and about what's potentially on the table for this team the rest of the way?

No, everyone tries to do with me.

And then I usually snap at them.

You can just as easily lose four games in a row as win four games in a row.

And so it's, I mean, four games is a long ways away and does

a lot of things that can happen. So I really, I don't reflect at all.

Classic football coach answer. Stay locked in, intense focus on what is immediately in front of you

and blinders for everything else. Historically, though, Kyle has done well after the buy for most of his career. So Kyle, why do you think that is? We don't do anything differently. So, I mean, I know some people have good records. Some people have bad records. But I think most of that's just a coincidence. I don't think we do anything unusually different than other teams. But I think we practice hard, we play hard.

So it's always good when we get a rest. I mean, you always come in feeling better. And the key is to how to keep that freshness and feeling better, but yet still get at these two hard days of practice in, so you can knock off all that rust. And if you can do the combination of both where you rest to get fresher, but you can also find a way to get that rust off before Sunday then I think it's always an advantage.
