No injury report today because the Niners were off.

So let's get to the audio portion of the show.

And today we're going to hear from general manager John Lynch, who sat down with Tim

Kawakami on the TK's show podcast.

And they touched on a variety of topics, including one I thought was interesting.

Simply put, are the 49ers ahead of schedule?

I don't know about that because I think the story's not written yet.

We've given ourselves an opportunity.

I spoke to the rookies today every bi-week I do, and I kind of just try to share some of my experiences

and what I'd be thinking about in their

shoes. I talked to them about how fun this gets this time of year when you're playing

meaningful ball in December, playoff football, there's nothing like it. It's so fun. And, man, it's just a really cool time of

year. So are we ahead of schedule? I don't know. I'll tell you at the end of the year. I hope we are.

They have a 90% chance to make the playoffs after 14 weeks with their two best defenders being

injured and leading the league in dead salary cap money, they are definitely not behind schedule

after a bloodletting this offseason. And to that end, Tim asked Lynch whether the Niners will

actually have a little money to spend this offseason. We'll see. Whatever your situation is,

I think it's really important that you spin it wisely. You know, I think

hopefully this offseason was a, was it not that you're going to have as many draft choices as we

had last year every year. But man, that's a, that's a fun way to build it. And it's, it's probably
