Joanne Jennings update from Tim Kawakami in a minute, but first we begin as we always do with

the injury report. The following players did not participate in practice yesterday. Russell Gage,

Dominic Pune, Kalia Davis, Joanne Jennings, Jordan Watkins, and

Yitor Gross Matos. But on the plus side, Dominic Poonie and Kalia Davis were running on the

side field and appear on track to practice next week. Poonie also had no sleeve on his knee,

which is new because last week he did have a sleeve on his knee.

So clearly he is starting to feel better.

Now, let's get to what Tim Kawakami said yesterday on 957 the game.

We finally got a little bit of information about just how much money Joanne Jennings wants from the 49ers.

What you hear not from the camp but but from NFL circles, is that it's high.

You know, it's above 20s, what I've heard, and maybe a lot above 20 a year, to put him in the

top 20 or so of receivers in that realm.

Four or not have done it before with Brandon Ayuk.

So, like, there is precedent for lifting a guy way up on the higher ranks of the receiver salaries.

What I've heard from the 49ers side in the air on that one is that they don't want to do anything.

Like, they are negotiating.

I think there have been numbers exchanged, but they just redid his deal last year.

If you're asking what the dollars are, I would tell you just from my opinion is that it's not close. It's not even close. He wants a lot and the four-in-ners are offering very little. I'll put it out with it. I could generalize it like that. There is no world in which the Niners are ever going to give Juan Jennings that much money, particularly after they just paid

Brandon Ayuk last season. Tim went on to say that there are some hurt feelings because of how

things have gone this offseason. They wanted them practicing. Like, they wanted them in camp.
