Here's what's happening with your San Francisco 49ers.

There's no injury report to go over because the players were off yesterday.

So let's go to the audio portion of the show. And today we're going to take a listen to Nick

Wagner of ESPN, who was on KNBR with Dieter Curtinbach. I know usually I suggest

Nick's articles in the one thing to read section of the show, but let's actually listen to Nick.

He can speak and he was on KMBR yesterday.

And he offered a couple of somewhat harsh possibly, but I think fair evaluations of the 49ers.

First off, let's look at the offense and particularly the ground game.

I think we're reached a point now where this run game is just not going to be

a Niners run game that we have expected. It's just not. And that doesn't mean that it can't

be effective, but it also probably isn't going to be dominant. And without that, you know,

it's a hat tip to Christian McCaffrey that he's been so productive and all the things that he's done for them this year.

But not having those explosive runs puts a lot more onus on Brock Purdy in the passing game.

The 49ers have quietly become a passing team.
