it's just the two of us today we're going to be covering artificial

intelligence which is a misnomer.

It's not intelligence of any kind.

Call it an algorithm, call it code, call it whatever the hell you want.

It will never be alive.

It will never pass muster for the breakdown that was proven by old alchemy the idea of body, soul and spirit these types of things, but it's here and it's a big deal.

We make our jokes. Old McDonald had a computer AIAIO, that's us now. And it's going to be

interesting to see what happens with AI, and I suspect that it's coming on full tilt. In the same way that we go out in the world and buy crappy things like furniture and yet we go around looking, oh isn't that beautiful handmade furniture, and yet we buy the crappy

crap. Admiring the handmade stuff, it's heavier, it's harder to carry. As a matter of fact, I had a guy come out to look at some of the old things when my mother passed away and all the old antiques that at one time had some value had completely plummeted and he was telling me how interest had been lost and people

didn't want to carry these heavy things around and there was a whole litany which isn't

to say that's happened to all antiques but it's similar to what we're about to face with computers and what they call artificial intelligence, what all call an algorithm.

Basically, it's scary, and the reason it's scary is because we have

predecessors that show there's a bit of magic going on here. You can look up the law of large numbers and you can look up the wisdom of the crowd maybe wisdom of the crowd but well both of them but wisdom of the crowd is a really strange thing when you try to zero in and say to yourself how in the heck can this

possibly work and even in the wisdom of the crowd when people are guessing at a number say some of them are so far off the money they'll say well the number is one

when clearly it's not anywhere near one. Some will say it's five million when clearly it's

nowhere near five million and yet it still works and these things are proven

true by nature and so when you poured it over to what's going on here it's going

to be a hell of a any riskis that we're coming to. Anyhow, welcome,
