I love Christmas. I love so many things about Christmas, but the thing that I love most is that

core Christmas story. And there's a particular vignette in Christmas that I don't think

gets enough attention that is a picture

of the amazing ways that God works to fulfill his great promises to us. Let me read for you.

The angel said to her, do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now you will conceive in your womb and bear us in your womb and bear a son.

And you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the son of the most high.

And the Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor, David. Now, I'd like you just imagine

with me for a moment that you get this kind of announcement.

You're betrothed to a young carpenter.
