after being missing for eight days.

The man, who was called God's banker due to his close association with the Vatican,

was found hanging from the scaffolding beneath Blackfriars Bridge in London.

It was originally believed that Calvi, who was the director of the Banco Ambrosiano and was being charged with fraudulent banking, had simply committed suicide.
