It's like when I'm in a club, I want that crowd to have great night.

And if anybody's been having a shit day, I want them to laugh hard, walk out there and feel like I'm glad I went to a comedy show.

That's my job. I will tell you that we're nights that I bombed.

And bombing when you are talking about stuff so personal to you is like a unique form of loneliness that I did not know existed before that.

Like bombing is horrible for anybody on any night. But bombing when you're opening up about some of the most personal stuff you've ever talked about.

It's just truly isolating. There were times where I not just bombed but where the whole room got pissed or sad.

And I realized, oh, I just totally missed the mark. Multiple times where people walked out.

And given that you are depressed and anxious kind of person as you admit.

Now you're throwing yourself into a situation that destroys the emotional resilience of comedians and who are even positive people.
