πŸ“œ TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 86:8-13

There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,
    nor are there any works like yours.
All the nations you have made shall come
    and worship before you, O Lord,
    and shall glorify your name.
10 For you are great and do wondrous things;
    you alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, O Lord,
    that I may walk in your truth;
    unite my heart to fear your name.
12 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,
    and I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your steadfast love toward me;
    you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

Welcome back to the Morning Mindset. It is time for you and for me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God.

I wanted to start out today's Morning Mind mindset by telling you about a conversation I had recently

0:15.2

with someone. And it's a conversation that I think will resonate with you because it's likely

0:20.0

been your experience at some time in your Christian life and that is a time where you

0:26.5

have had the experience of being close to the Lord you have known that in the past

0:31.6

but you feel that where you're at at the present time is

0:35.8

dry that though you're still seeking the Lord though you are still pursuing

0:41.0

him in the best way that you know how. There seems to be a missing

0:47.2

element to your relationship with God's power and

0:55.0

you don't exactly know what to do you don't know how to restore that initial sense of God's

0:58.0

power and presence and closeness in your life.

1:02.0

And I can tell you that I have been there many times before. And as I was

1:07.0

talking with this person about the experience that they were having and not really knowing what to do next to draw close

1:15.6

to the Lord. It took me to a place of remembrance, remembering a time in my life when I discovered something that was helpful in that

1:26.2

vein to enable me to reconnect with God in a new way.

1:30.5

Now let me make a little disclaimer here.

1:33.0

There's no such thing as a magic formula or a genie and a lamp we rub and it makes all of our spiritual issues go away and all of our difficulties just dissipate.

1:44.4

There's no such thing because there is a sense in which we need to

1:48.1

persevere in our faith and something in the perseverance brings about a deeper faith.

1:53.4

But there are truths, there are approaches to our spiritual life that are helpful, and that's what

1:59.8

I want to share with you this morning.

2:01.7

Now I want to take an example of this from
