Welcome back everyone to another edition of the Dungeon Masters block, the place where we talk about the most important person in the game, the Dungeon Master, the only person capable of playing God, killing characters, and lowering the egos of all the people at the table.

0:15.6

I'm one of your host, Dungeon Master Chris.

0:17.5

And I'm Dungeon Master Mitch.

And we are on a boat.

0:20.5

Yes, we are. As you saw on Twitter, or some of you may have seen on Twitter, we are spending some time up in my grandparents' cottage to get away before work and life. And I go back to school and everything gets all busy. And we promised you that we would be working on some things while we were away for our break in September. And it may just so happen that we're doing it well on a boat. We tried fishing and podcasting. It didn't work out so well. The fish bit so fast, which is fantastic, but it was next to impossible to do both. So we gave up on fishing because we did that all afternoon, and we love you so much. So we wanted to make sure that we did. Right now we're sitting on a boat in the middle of a lake what? Lake Masaki.

1:12.6

The next couple of episodes you can just dub the cabin chronicles because we will be recording

1:17.6

quite a bit while we're up here.

1:18.6

So we'll be enjoying ourselves.

1:20.6

Hopefully you enjoy our episode.

1:22.6

Today we're talking about something really cool, I think.

1:26.6

We're talking about timelines.

1:29.1

If you are making your own world and playing campaigns in that world,

1:33.1

which if you're making your own world, hopefully you're playing campaigns in that world,

1:35.8

have you ever thought about jumping through the timeline of your world,

1:40.5

going to different points in history in your world,

1:43.3

and what does that entail? How does

1:45.0

that change your campaigns? And what does that add to your world and getting your players

1:51.0

into the lore of your world? So that's what we're going to be talking about today. Pretty excited about it.

1:55.0

And I know some of you, some of you don't really ever use timelines, and that's okay, but this is an episode to to try and convince not necessarily convinced but to make you possibly think about doing a timeline
