Hey Potter Pertunias, it's Potter cast number 47. To celebrate this week, we have finally brought

back the Extendable EARS segment, the long lost segment that you guys have been asking

for ever since it took a little hiatus. This is the segment where we speak to people who are actually involved in the production of the films and books of Harry Potter.

The segment's back for a good long time this time. This week it's Cheryl Klein. She's an editor at Arthur A Levine Books and

continuity editor on the American editions of the Harry Potter series. She's

joining us as a co-host not just an interview. She's taking part in

everything this week from the news discussion to the mailbag to the counting

conundrum segment, another returning segment which is about the notorious gleam of triumph that

sparks in Dumbledore's eye in Book 4.

Now the extendable ear segment itself gets into some of the elements of good

writing and how Cheryl, who is a fan of the Harry Potter series since college, came to work on

the Potter books. We have no podcast this week because we have been so blessed with

such great conversation with Cheryl that we had to make room for it. So it's a

packed show but before we go on we have a couple of announcements. First of
