Today we have Jason Phelps, owner of Phelps game calls.

Jason, how you doing?

Good, good.

Very busy this time of you, but it's better than than the opposite so we're doing really good here.

Yeah, you know I've got a couple questions in regards to obviously the owner of Phelps game

calls and you have a wide variety of calls but the elk calls are obviously kind of your

mainstay or your staple, you know, I would assume from a sales standpoint you sell a ton of elk calls and you do a bunch of other stuff, but you're right before the season here.

A lot of the seasons are kicking off right here, you know, the end of August in a lot of these Western

states, so I'm sure you're just making up calls as fast as you can.

Yeah, we're going through more diaphragm's going out than we can put out.

So our inventory is getting very low.

But yeah, we can look back at all the all the past years and we always know that July and August is only do 90% of our business.

So we we try to ramp up for it, get prepared, look at projections, and then we overshoot them and then we're behind again.

Yeah, I was going to ask you about that. I've known you for a long time. I think we first met, oh, I don don't know, maybe like 10 years ago at the Rocky Mountain

Elk Foundation calling contest I think was the first time we actually met and you know you

were starting your calling company and want to talk a little bit we're going to

talk about all kinds of things today but I wanted to ask you about some of the growing

pains with obviously your business has grown from when I first

met you it seems like you know you're you're on a bunch of podcasts you're you, you're talking to a lot of people, you have a great marketing

program and you know you make great calls, so your business is taken off, but talk a little

bit about the growing pains of, you know, starting from scratch and wanting to build a big call company and now you kind of are that big call company.
