Hey guys, it's Trish Blackwell, your confidence coach, and you're listening to The Confidence Podcast. This is episode number 464, and I am really stoked about talking today about affirmation's confidence affirmations that actually work.

In this episode, we're going to be talking about why affirmations work. I'm going to give you affirmations. I'm going to read you some that you can just write down or go to my site and copy them down and start using them for your own.

Affirmations to stop caring what people think, affirmations for body confidence, affirmations for those who are too hard on themselves, and affirmations for dreaming a bigger and more importantly,

I'm going to teach you how to write your own affirmations and how to make your affirmations work for you, because here's the deal. So many of us know, oh yeah, yeah, affirmations are good.

But how many of us are doing it? Implementation of knowledge is where transformation happens, and that's why there's such a difference between those who listen to this podcast and those who coach with me.

Because you're getting all the knowledge, you're getting information here on the show, but until you become a member of the college conference until you work with me, that's where we drop the head knowledge drops and ways into the heart, where you put some skin in the game and you say, I'm committed.

I'm committed to my personal growth, and these aren't just going to be concept concepts that I've heard about. Oh, yeah, yeah, journal, yeah, affirmations. Oh, yeah, believe in yourself.

But they actually that I learn how to implement them, and I show up for myself and them. So I'm going to teach you that's that for me. I mean, for years, I missed out on the power of affirmations.

Honestly, because I thought it was a little woo-woo. I actually didn't even realize it was biblical. Affirmations are biblical. It's a, it's rethink on what is true, think on the good, think on its repetition, it's setting your mind.

It's, it's deciding to cling to the truth or says, believe me, deceived by the lies of the world and the overwhelming our minds and look, there's so much power and affirmations, but are you tapping into them?

And it wasn't until honestly in the past year that I implemented this element of affirmation work, which is affirming the truth, affirming the direction that I believe that God is guiding me, affirming my focus and my attitude for the day.

Not, you know, choosing to have a good attitude, affirming an attitude that will narrate the day of success, narrate joy, shine, light, make a difference, even if it's to a neighbor or my little boy or on a larger scale to thousands of people.

But I affirm that I'm doing it and tell my brain because when I wake up, you guys, if you don't know my story, my story is that I, I have a, I'm highly wired for anxiety, my, I had an anxiety disorder for decades of my life, manifested and expressed through an eating disorder.

I am constantly daily, so I'm actually in my journal this morning, I wrote down to myself, this is my battle, my daily battle is choosing faith and joy and happiness and peace and, and just joy and light over anxiety, because I wake up with anxiety.

It's my wiring and I don't, I talk often with my therapist about what's a healthy expression of my personality and what's an unhealthy expression.

And so I'm not, I'm not going to resist and be ashamed that I wake up with those thoughts.

My responsibility is to replace them, is to affirm the truth, is to remind myself that those anxieties are based on fears or lies or, or default pressure that I've taught myself over decades of years that I am unwiring right now.

And God is helping me create new neuro pathways and see the world new, new eyes and understand my role in it differently.
