What's up Ravens fans? Big news today as the Ravens have reached a five-year contract extension in principle with quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens have won the draft before it's even started. So we had to go live for this because the news doesn't get any bigger than this. This is just a massive day for the Ravens, not just in this year,

but in franchise history, to have Lamar Jackson inked long term here. How exciting is this?

Well, it could honestly go down as one of the best days in Ravens history. Honestly,

I mean, obviously you put the two Super Bowls up there, probably the first draft. You get two

Hall of Famers. That's a pretty darn good day when you look back on it. Could this go down as one of the best days in Ravens history? It's already kind of there. How high does it go up the list? Could be very high. Yeah, that's good perspective. I mean, it really could be, especially as you look out how the rest of the night plays out, which who knows. I mean, look, when we woke up today, I don't know if we necessarily knew that this was going to happen right before the draft a few hours before and that the Ravens were going to have the biggest news of this weekend.

And so what the next few hours hold, there's one thing we've learned about draft weekend is that to expect the unexpected, it's to predict and it's exciting so I think this

classifies as a size them up Thursday yes I would say so size them up here let's go size them up

well I mean Eric Takasta this morning from his morning message you know he had a little glint in his

eye a little smirk oh so so you caught it then? Something's

going on today, you know, uh, you wonder, I mean, when did this all kind of get done? Was it today?

Was it before today? And I don't know, but Eric Tocostis knew it was going to be a very good day.

Yeah. That's for sure. And, you know, by the reports, it sounds like there's some really productive conversations and negotiations over the past several days. And, you know, we've all been waiting

so long for this, right? It's been two years in the making. And it hasn't been easy. You know,

Eric Takasa has been up front about that, about how challenging it's been. Lamar Jackson,

obviously, you know, put a trade request in. It's been a challenging road,

but honestly, congratulations to both guys. You know, congrats to Eric DeKosa, congrats,

obviously to Lamar Jackson for sticking to it, you know, and it looked like, you know,

we weren't sure if we were ever going to get to this day. And to stick with it and make it happen,

it's just awesome for everybody involved. Yeah, no doubt about it. I mean, when you look at it,

in terms of, it's a win from both sides. Oh, for sure. I mean, Lamar Jackson reportedly gets

the biggest contract in NFL history. Of $260 million, that's a report with $185 guaranteed.
