The Lions needs some additional help from a Seattle Seahawks loss to make the playoffs, but controlling what you can control is what good teams do, and the Lions have been a good team in the last half of the 2022 NFL season. Detroit Lions Podcast Ready To Move On From Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers There has been the standard Aaron Rodgers bad mouthing going on, but this time the Detroit Lions are actually a formidable foe for the Green Bay Packers. Having beaten the Packers earlier in the season, the Lions are ready to show that it wasn’t a fluke, and the team has made it over the “hump” into the realm of being a real contender in the NFL. This season has meant so much to the Lions organization and its fans – proof laid bare that the team is ahead of schedule in its rebuild. Chris has talked about the “passing of the torch”, what a Lions win in Lambeau Field means for the franchise not just today, or this season, but in the process of exorcising the ghosts of the past and moving this team toward the playoffs, victories in the playoffs, and ultimately a Super Bowl championship. This would be that fairy tale story that Lions fans have been hoping for for over six decades.
