Summary

Happy, healthy holidays! I hope you're cooking and spending time with people you care about. Today, we're going to talk a little bit about forever chemicals and how to avoid them. Then, we'll lighten it up with some fun holiday and year-round healthy recipes.

Glyphosate - one of those scary forever chemicals - is the most widely used herbicide in the world. It poses significant health and environmental risks, lingering in the environment for extended periods and disrupting normal cell development. Exposure to glyphosate has been linked to neurotoxic effects, oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and more.

It's a scary topic, but it's part of our food system, so we have to address it.

Which brings me to today's guest. You remember Shanais Pelka from episode 426. She is the Head of Research & Development at Organifi, passionate about food, herbs, medicinal mushrooms, sustainability, and community. In episode 426, she shared her story of overcoming a respiratory infection and platelet disorder using herbs and supplements.

Today, she's back to share how to go Glyphosate-Free. She'll also share some fun holiday recipes and gift ideas, and we'll hear all about Organifi's brand-new product straight from the mountains of the Himalayas.
