All right, so out of all the people we have ever interviewed, perhaps Mike Thompson has

done the most time in prison, 45 years, he has had many documentaries made about his

life. There's videos about him that have gone viral. There was some recent controversy

and we're going to get Mike's side of the story on that. And this interview, it was urged

along by John Abbott, because John Abbott has watched Mike's stuff and he loves Mike's

storytelling ability, which is fantastic. And if you want to hear stories about the early

Now, we've got quite a big audience in the UK. And over the movies like Shotcola, American

History X, where they see these guys on the prison yards, it's kind of surreal for the

people in the UK to think that that is actually, you know, actually happens. So perhaps

could you give a little bit of a background as to what does happen, you know, and what your

development was in the beginning of all this?

Hmm, I'll do my best. You know, I entered prison in the early 70s and I was convicted of

a double homicide, two drug dealers who attempted to kidnap two little girls were killed in the

process of that kidnap attempt. My partner, I always maintained my innocence relative to

him. What I did do was I called the man that was the father of the two little girls and

told him that his children were subject to being kidnapped for ransom. And after that, that

was pretty much forced by hands of it. But the problem was is that the two individuals that

attempted to carry out that kidnap plot were murdered and buried. So I went through a trial.

I was convicted of all charges. In fact, I was the only one that was. But I continued to
