Welcome to the perfume room. I am not wearing a scent of the day today. I am wearing

two cents of the day today because I am wild and wouldn't you know it, that is the name of one of the fragrances that I'm

actually wearing right now. The maker gifted me two fragrances from their collection and I got to pick which

ones. So I selected wild and fire. Though when you put those words together, it's not a fragrance I'd

ever want to wear. But separately and honestly, even layered, they are stunners.

So let's get into it. First, let me just tell you a little background on the maker hotel because

I find the story to be really fascinating. So the maker was founded by the same husband and wife duo

behind Fresh, the same line that you might know for skin care and perfumes. So you know right off the bat, this is going to be a fragrant hotel.

This is a bougie, beautifully decorated boutique hotel that kind of feels like a mix of mid-century modern

meets Bella Pock and it is located in Hudson, New York.

And what makes this hotel so cool aside from how beautifully decorated it is and where it's located,

yada yada, is that fragrance

is one of its core components. So in addition to the hotel having an eponymous candle and

fragrance line, they also in their Hudson location have a fragrance library. Okay. Close your

eyes. Picture the person in your life with the best fragrance collection that you know,

which if you listen to this podcast, I have a hunch. It is you. But the hotel founders,

Levin Alina, are also avid fragrance collectors, and they have put their personal collection

from their travels around the world of niche and luxury scents in this fragrance library

where guests can go and explore, sniff, smell, and

spray.

How freaking cool is that?
