I mean, I think you're pointing out something very important, which is people do tend to

project their identity into their environment and objects do remind us of the people and

places and activities we love and we do want to shape our environment to reflect something

Even when you look at nomadic people, tens of thousands of years ago, they had decorative

They would bury things.

It's a very human thing to want to have these objects.

What is helpful is to have things that you have mindfully chosen.

So part of it is to pick the thing that truly does embody what you want to remember,

kind of clogging it up.

So it seems like there is a theme which is that clutter is not necessarily just physical
