Welcome to the perfumer. My sent to the day today is Empiria la Davina by Marissa Zappas. She was kind enough to send me a sample.

And I have to just address the elephant in the room, which is what you're all wondering, which is, is this podcast secretly a Marissa Zappas fan account? And the

answer is no, it is not secret. Because if you have smelled the juice, you know the obsession is real.

She is so talented. And Imperial La Dvina is no exception. This fragrance, I believe, was based on Marissa's childhood and

background as a ballerina. And oh my God, it delivers. Now, I was never like a legit ballerina.

I did go to a dance studio where the type of ballet I did consisted of ballet dances to like

Purple Rain by Prince. And I also just said ballet dances. I feel like that prince and i also just said ballet dances i feel like that

speaks volumes to the lack of ballet because i feel like a ballerina would not call a number a ballet

dance but when i wear this this is the prima ballerina i always wanted to be i think of pink satin point

shoes i think of dusty pink sparkles. I think of those old

wooden jewelry boxes where you open it up and there's a little ballerina and a tutu in Passa

because, you know, I'm going to flex the ballet terms turning around, right? This is like if that

ballerina in the jewelry box came to life, it's whimsical, It's magic. And I absolutely love it. And I feel like

talking about this little ballerina in the jewelry box is a great transition to who our guests are today.

And that is because today's guests are two of the most whimsical, imaginative, and talented

artists ever who just so happen to be real life sisters.
