I'm Levy Dalton and this is all drink to that where we get behind the scenes of the wine business. Oh, Josh Reynolds, a wine critic for the international wine cellar, stops by today to tell us about

his history reviewing the fine wines of Europe. Josh Reynolds on a show today.

How are you, sir?

I am doing very well, thank you, and happy to be here and finally able to meet up.

We've been trying to do this for a while and happy it finally happened.

All good things in the end. Always. So you were working in mutual funds and you used to hang out at the

wine shops and then 87 came along financial downturn and you were looking for a new

career and what happened? It actually goes back further than that because I was

going to your alma mater, B you, got there in 1980 and was able through the good

graces of a fake ID to be able to go to old wine shops in Boston, Macy's, which was

up Mass Ave, which became Marties, which actually is Newton.

I think it's actually Motties. That's how they said but coming from

Oklahoma I couldn't really I couldn't really I couldn't pull that off that's right actually we try

and do that with a southern accent it sounds even worse. Sounds, it sounds much worse.

But I used to go up.

I was a designated booze buyer.

And wound up hanging around in the wine section.

I got intrigued by these things. There was a guy who ran the wine shop there

who still runs the wine program in Newton called his name is Tom Schmeiser and I imagine at you it two in the afternoon when I probably should have been in class.

It's a dead time in the wine shop. He went up talking to me telling me about things and invited me to a few wine tastings, which back in those days meant

let's taste all the 1981 first growth bordos, it'll cost you 10 bucks.

Yeah.
