Welcome to the Scuff Podcast 1 at an old airfield in Connecticut on Saturday.

It was a fun game to watch a fun and interesting first half especially and then kind of a bad

second half as we got ground down and ultimately played off the pitch by the demand shaft. Greg are you doing? I'm good I'm a

feeling sad not about the result of this game but about not being able to participate in the

second annual tournament of Rose's

foots-off contest that you guys are playing in the morning. That's what I mean I feel like

we need to first hear how you performed before we can talk about how the US men's

national team performed. Me personally how I personally you personally I played it I

played all right yeah I do want to, so there's a couple, a few people who need to be shouted out.

Well, there were like 15 of us, you know, so we played 7 v7 for basically an hour and a half and it was a it was a lot of fun

But I got a I gotta say there was a guy named Ian there who was a real player a real like a

Well, I did I didn't even talk to him but I got his name and he was a good player and doing a lot of lion with his eyes and his hips you know and and just making a lot of good decisions and it's good to see it

recognize that subtlety you know and see how how much it pays off when you're

actually playing.

Yeah, yeah.

And then there was a guy named Ryan from New York City

who came to the tailgate with his wife and two kids.

He was also quite good.

I was up against him and I just could not take the

ball from him you know how frustrating that can be you know especially for

self-avowed cage match enthusiasts like we did not be able to do anything in the cage. That must have killed you.

Yeah, I mean, it was like, it was like I was in a cage that I couldn't get out of whenever I was trying to take the ball from.
