| 0:04.8 | or you see letters backwards. |
| 0:06.1 | Oh, my child flips B and D. |
| 0:09.3 | That is like one of the first things parents are like, |

| 0:12.8 | B and D do you think they're dyslexic? I'm like no absolutely not it's actually how our |
| 0:16.7 | brain is trained to recognize objects that like if I take your pair of glasses |
| 0:22.3 | and I flip them upside down there's still a pair of glasses and I flip them upside down, there's still a pair of glasses. |
| 0:25.2 | Right. If I flip them on the side, there's still a pair of glasses. |
| 0:27.8 | We actually have to untrain our brain that the letters B, D, P, and Q are not the same thing. |
| 0:33.7 | And so it's like really a process of untraining your brain. |

| 0:39.5 | your child is probably gonna flip those letters around some. Another myth is that |
| 0:44.0 | dyslexic people are not intelligent and it's actually the opposite. Most of our |
| 0:49.3 | dyslexic children are very intelligent and that's why they go so long usually until |
| 0:55.7 | about third grade before they're detected because they figure out how to mask it. |
