we are going to go deep on the subject of mold. Michael Wackeb. Thank you so much for having me here, Jason.

So you've been, this podcast has been scheduled for a while and you've been on my mind because

our family just moved in Miami and I can't tell you how many times I've heard the subject of mold

come up in a conversation when we were, you know, looking for a place to live. So mold's been

top of mind, you've been top of mind. With that said, you know, we've talked about mold on the show

before but I kind of want to just start from scratch for everyone. Start with the basics. So

let's start with what is mold, you know, how does it grow, how does it spread, the different types,

the different types of environments it thrives in. So let's start with that first big question.

What is mold? Good, great question. And actually a lot of people don't know this answer. So it's

really important that we do cover this because mold is actually two different things. It's an

organism, a living organism. It's alive. And it's part of the fungus community here. And it's also

a particle. And this is why people get so confused because they're like, well, mold is everywhere.

When they say mold is everywhere, they're talking about the particle that the organism produces.

And that's called the mold sport. And why it's so important to differentiate that because, you

know, we're always going to have some level of particles on our environment. However, if we get

taken over by the organism and it's rapidly growing inside of our homes, rapidly producing these

particles, that's when it really starts to impact our health. And I'm so glad to hear that, you know,
