Hi everyone, welcome to a special bonus episode this week of Pink Shade with Aaron Martin.

We are going to talk about the staircase today. Netflix's French filmmaker documentary about the alleged murder of Kathleen Peterson in 2001.

In this docuseries, the staircase dives into the twisty, turny case of Michael Peterson, who is a novelist convicted in 2003 of murdering his wife, Kathleen, after she was found unconscious at the bottom of a staircase in their family home.

The series was created by Jean Xavier de L'Estraud and he spent 15 years documenting this.

There's three new episodes at the end of the series that you might have seen before.

So if you have watched the old episodes, I'd encourage you to watch the new ones.

And take a look at what's happened in the years since Michael Peterson was let out of jail and ultimately made an Alfred plea, which means that he had to admit his guilt,

but only because he didn't want to go to trial again.

If you have watched the series, you can definitely get into all of the oh gosh, millions of theories about what happened to Kathleen.

And if you didn't, you can easily follow along with what Michelle and I are going to talk about today.

And I would encourage you to go out and watch the staircase on Netflix as soon as you can binge because it is super compelling.

It's a long series. Yes, 13 parts, but well worth it.

And I'd also encourage you to go out and watch the ID channels, three part series on this staircase as well, because they definitely give you a different perspective.
