This is the Bama podcast with Marty Solomon and his co-host, Brent Billings.

Today we are wrapping up our look at the kings of Israel, exploring the story of Naaman

and its implications for us.

This is one of my personal favorites, not quite the thunderous awesomeness that was Elijah,

but one of the most practical lessons I've ever learned.

Before I forget, when we get to the Naaman portion, my listeners I don't know that when

I heard this lesson originally as a sermon, it was preached by Rob Bell at Mars Hill Bible

Church in Grand Rapids years ago.

And boy, when I heard it, it was just one of those teachings that just hit you and resonated

and man has been a big, has been a really liberating piece to me being in ministry for years

and years and years.

I'm always excited to share it whenever I get to.

But before we do that, let's review.

I haven't done that well in the podcast.

Starting with a Genesis, we have a preface, we have an introduction in the preface, Genesis

1 through 11.

We talk about, um, starts with a good creation, it's good, it's good, it's good, it's

good, it's very good, got invites creation to rest and to trust, we say, trust the story

in Bama all the time.

The whole story begins with got affirming the goodness of creation and an invitation for

us to trust that that is in fact true, not true with an asterisk, not true with a caveat,

not partially true but entirely true.
