Hey there, everybody, this is Comic Geekspeak episode 43.5.

I'm Brian D. Mereau by myself. Just doing a real quick intro here.

One of our listeners, Chris Neeseman, was out in Chicago, was Wizard Royal Chicago this past weekend.

And he managed to get himself some interviews with some real high profile comic creators.

So we're going to play those for you here.

And just wanted to make sure everybody could hear these because I think they're

pretty great and we really appreciate Chris going on that effort to interview these guys

and so here they are.

That's right, coming to you from Chicago, and Wizard World Chicago, 2005.

All right, it's about 9 o'clock on Saturday morning. Just got to the convention center.

So I'm walking up.

Give me a chance to give you a little background on the show.

Wizard World Chicago is Wizard's biggest convention of the year.

That is actually the second largest ongoing comic book convention in the world next to San Diego.

Got to start back in the early 70s as the nostalgia and comic book show of Chicago.

It was originally hosted down at the Playboy Tower in downtown,

then would move to the Congress Hotel,

and then eventually out here to the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont.
