📜 TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:26-27
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[g] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

| 0:30.0 | And what I mean by that is this, |
| 0:31.0 | the scripture gives us the truth of God. |
| 0:33.4 | The scripture teaches us how he helps us, teaches us how he leads us and guides us and |
| 0:39.7 | empowers us to live as we should in this world and it teaches us among other things that the |
| 0:46.6 | Holy Spirit of God, God himself through the third person of the Trinity, lives |
| 0:52.0 | within us and he empowers us and he does some amazing |
| 0:55.1 | things on our behalf. We just read in verse 26 of chapter 8 from the book of |
| 1:00.2 | Romans that the spirit helps us in our times of weakness by interceding for us in a way |
| 1:07.6 | that we can't even express ourselves. |
| 1:10.7 | So interceding that means he's going to the father on our behalf when we are struggling when we are in a time of weakness and maybe that's a time of doubt maybe that's a time of confusion |
| 1:22.4 | maybe that's a time when we're having trouble expressing our faith as we know we ought. |
| 1:28.0 | Maybe it's a time when we simply are struggling to keep believing and enduring. |
| 1:33.0 | And the Holy Spirit of God is there behind the scenes interceding for us. |
| 1:38.0 | Now this next verse, verse number 27 gives us a whole lot of assurance about what that means for us. |
| 1:44.5 | It says he who searches hearts. |
| 1:47.6 | Well who is that? |
| 1:48.1 | Who search his hearts? |
