I'm doing great, Jay, how are you?

I'm doing great. I'm actually in Colorado today and took a little break from skiing, doing a little fishing, and life is good.

So what part of Oregon do you guide in or where do you live?

I live near Tuesday in a little town called Middle Point, Oregon.

We're basically here on the Southern Oregon coast.

Guided multiple units throughout the state,

but our specialty here is Roosevelt Elk,

you know, the Columbia Blacktail Deer, and the recently

delisted Columbia White Tail as well. What would you say out of those is your

favorite to hunt? I like it all. I like all the hunting aspects. You don't have

one favorite over the other? My wife always says whatever's in season at the time. That's a good answer.

Now I'm not this,

Google in Roosevelt-Belt is probably my favorite

and then I'd have to follow that up with running Columbia Black Hills.

Okay, that sounds pretty cool.

I want to today kind of go over the Oregon Big Game Draw and have you kind of diagram for

us, how and break down for us, how Oregon does its draw, kind of from beginning to end as if I was a

hunter calling you asking you how do I get a tag in Oregon?

Well, the only real downfall I have with Oregon, you know, is that we're pretty

stingy on our tags. We only give out 5% of our deer and elk to non-residents and 3% towards our

antelope and bear. So you know you hear a lot of people talking about you know 10%
