Welcome to the Huntsback Country Podcast, this is episode number 427 and our guest is

one of you a listener of the show Caleb joins us today to share some of his story and he's going

to join us later this fall to share the rest of it. Caleb is from the Midwest and he's been hunting

elk for several years now with some success but he has some different hunts planned this year

and I was curious to hear from Caleb about his previous experiences and then compare that with

some of the experiences that he's going to have this year. So as you'll find out Caleb has actually

hunted cow elk in his previous years and he has a bull elk tag this year that's actually a

late season tag which he has not hunted. So between some elk hunting experience but cows versus

bulls early season versus late season there was just a lot of great topics to talk about.

Caleb did go on an archery elk hunt this fall we chat about that experience in addition to some

of the previous years experience he has and then how he's planning for this late season rifle

bull elk hunt. There's a lot to take away from this one some certain things on slowing down how

Joplin area not historically you know I didn't grow up hunting. I grew up kind of around that I

had a BB gun and a four wheeler and was just a feral little red net kid on farm so I had that
