it's a leap. It's a big transition for any student, but it can be especially daunting for parents

and kids with ADHD whose emotional maturity and executive function skills may be delayed by

a few years. In today's webinar, caregivers will learn strategies that build their students'

executive function skills. We'll address issues like helping students to initiate work

independently, managing long-term projects, setting realistic expectations, and submitting work

on time. Leading today's presentation is Chris Dendi. Chris has been recognized nationally

as a leader in the ADHD field for more than 50 years. Her experience has spanned many roles,

including author and speaker, classroom teacher, school psychologist, mental health counselor,

local and state mental health administrator, and national mental health consultant on children's

issues. Chris was inducted into the Chad Hall of Fame in 2006 and was later honored with the

organization's Lifetime Achievement Award. She has written four books, including her latest,

launching into young adulthood with ADHD Ready or Not, which she co-authored with Ruth Hughes.
