Summary

In this week's flagship Lions of Liberty podcast, Marc is joined by two libertarian activists who have been closely connected to Latin American to bring their perspective on the liberty movement in that region: Maria Alejandra Londono - Director of Movimiento Libertario of Latin America - as well as returning guest Dr. Kyle Varner, who has helped to provide medical aid for refugees from Venezuela in Colombia. They give their perspective on the situation in Venezuela, the disputed legitimacy of Nicholas Maduro's rule, and what they have learned from interacting with Venezuelans. As always, my goal is to provide various perspectives on the issues, particularly those topics that often divide libertarians, and this is no exception. To listen to my other interviews on the situation in Venezuela, check out the full show notes over at LionsOfLiberty.com/422. So thrilled to have you back here once again on the flagship Lions of Liberty podcast where you hear me every single Monday doing interviews, roundtables, all sorts of conversations that I am

0:45.0

inciting within the libertarian movement. We actually had a really great conversation on our Patreon

0:49.9

the other day. It was me and Brian discussing the issues of immigration and borders through

0:54.4

the libertarian perspective and through the concept of the fact that we currently have a welfare

state as well. So if you want to hear more of that conversation, or hear all of that conversation,

1:03.3

I should say, head over to our Patreon at patreon.com slash Lions of Liberty. And it was pretty fun.

1:09.2

It got a little, I don't want to say contentious,

1:10.9

because we never get personal, but we did disagree quite a bit. And at the end of the day,

1:15.1

we ended up still not agreeing because it's a complicated subject, and we both have very

1:19.2

different views on it. And the reason we do this show is to facilitate these conversations.

1:23.6

So it's not that often you guys get to hear us really disagreeing with each other all the time.
