I take young people to Ephesians 5 quite a bit, especially college students, because college students understand the illustration

real quick.

Ephesians 5, 18, do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the

spirit.

And in a full stop, this is just one verse.

It's very easy for a college student to understand drunkenness. If they're not prone

to drunkenness themselves, they've seen it everywhere on campus or in their environment. So,

so let's break down drunkenness for a second. When you decide to drink, you make a choice,

you put alcohol in your body, and as a result, you are changed by that, and you've given

control over to something that has made that change in your life.

That leads, according to Paul, to debauchery.

It leads to bad things, And all the students go,

yes, I understand this. Ben, there done that. But he says, instead, be filled with the spirit.
