Welcome to the Lord of the Rings lore cast, the show reading through the story of Turin again.

0:33.6

And this is a concept that hasn't occurred to me until very recently.

0:41.2

This isn't something that occurred to me 15 years ago when the children of Huron came out,

0:46.6

and I reread the story in its full length.

0:49.2

This is something that just now is occurring to me.

0:53.1

And I think it comes from a place of getting more and more into, or at least attempting

0:59.5

to get more and more into Tolkien's mind and seeing the world the way that he may have

1:05.9

seen the world, understanding the perspective that he has on the nature of the world around him.

2:21.2

thing out of it because we come at it from different angles. So with all that said, this might

2:28.1

just be my perspective on the way the world is affecting me and the nature of things, or maybe there's a

2:40.0

little bit more truth, or maybe it's somewhere in the middle. That's probably what's most likely

2:44.2

happening here. So what is it I'm talking about? The story of Turin, as we're going to continue today, is a story about

2:54.4

struggling with the evil of the world in a desperate time where things seem darker than they may

3:04.1

have ever seemed before. Let that sink in for a moment.
