and technology news with me, Dan Wood. Me Ravi Abbott and me Joe Fox. And very nice to be joining us for the podcast every single Friday. Of course, a show that takes you back to the classic age of video games. Actually, I do this bit every week. I always set up what the podcast is. I'm going to pick on someone. Joe, explain the show. What is it?

Oh, why are you picking on me? I said, you know what? Before we started recording, I said, don't drop me in it this week, Dan. Well, that was like a red rag to a bull. That was, Joe. It really was. What is this podcast? Sometimes people ask me at work, oh, it's your podcast about, it's about retro games it's about those years that we miss the years of you know nostalgia the

seventh at work. Oh, it's your podcast about, it's about retro games. It's about those years that we miss,

the years of, you know, nostalgia, the 70s, the 80s, the golden age of gaming. Not just gaming.

Sometimes we dabble, you know, in technology, the internet, radio, video, etc. But yeah, anything

retro kind of goes, anything that's older than 15, 20 years. You know, we do a little bit of a news segment, then we do a little bit of an interview, and yeah, it's usually about, meant to be an hour, it's about an hour and a half long. There you go. That's the retro hour. The retro hour and a half doesn't flow that well off the tongue we don't find, so hence the name. But we do get messages all the time, like, for example, that The Rich Voices sent us a tweet during the week or an X. He said, disappointed to have only just discovered the retro hour is making up for it by binging the last 418 episodes at the moment. So loving the nostalgia. So I guess he'll hear this probably in about a year or

something. But we do get messages like that all the time. So whether you listen every week, you know, since the beginning or whether you've just found us, we really appreciate you joining us. And we have got an incredible guest on the way in the second half of the podcast. Like you said, you know, we cover gaming and technology as well. This is a bit more of a techy episode. But before we get into that,

anyone watch the Brit Awards over the weekend? No, it's not as controversial as it used to be,

is it? I used to watch it for all the madness and anarchy that happens there, but it's quite

tame nowadays, isn't it? Yeah, I mean, generally, I must admit, I didn't watch much of it. The Mrs. Edel on Saturday night, and it's like probably the neffest of all the award shows, isn't it? You watch it mainly to see what goes wrong and the awkward silences and, you know, the cringe-worthy stuff from the presenters. But there was one moment that has got kind of the retro world in a bit
